Paris, 1808. Two men, in disagreement over a love affair, decide to settle their dispute in a way that is, to say the least... original. Rather than fighting on dry land, they choose to face each other in the sky aboard hot air balloons! 🎈
At an altitude of over 500 meters, each armed with a pistol, they take off for a most unusual aerial duel. The goal? To shoot down their opponent's balloon. After a few shots, one of the balloons is hit. The unfortunate occupant falls and is killed, while the other lands safely, triumphing in this totally absurd confrontation.
This event has remained engraved in history for its singularity, both for its setting and for its tragic outcome. One of the craziest duels ever recorded!
