This simple incident quickly escalated and almost led to an armed conflict between the United States and the United Kingdom. Troops were deployed on both sides, ready to fight. But fortunately, diplomats stepped in and resolved the situation peacefully, making this "pig war" one of the most unlikely conflicts in history... and the only one to have caused only one casualty: the pig in question! 🐽
